Paula Rivera
Paula was born and currently lives in Santiago, Chile, but she’s also lived in France and Oklahoma! The latter she traveled to during an exchange program when she was 18 years old and calls it a “lifechanging experience,” which inspired her to want to help others see the magic of travel. She studied psychology at the University of Chile before obtaining her master’s in sustainable tourism. While she’s traveled all over the world, her favorite destination is Antarctica. “This is an unforgettable place in all its splendor.” She adds, “I’m also interested in the promotion of Antarctica as a continent without flags, for all humankind.”
Marco Barrales
Marco is a proud Chilean native who currently resides in Santiago. He speaks Spanish and English and started his career as a language interpreter at a 5-star hotel, an experience which taught him to relate to people from all over the world. Among his travels, his favorite destinations are Patagonia and Antarctica because of their “unique landscapes, wildlife, and remoteness.” One of his favorite memories as an Adventure Leader was during a trip to Antarctica, when a traveler who was a celloist performed during one of their landings surrounded by penguins. When he’s not leading Vantage trips, Marco enjoys running, swimming, and dancing with his wife.
