What to Expect

Activity Level

Takes into consideration the physical requirements for each of the trips, walking, hiking, climbing in and out of safari vehicles etc.

Moderately Easy

Travelers should be able to climb 40 stairs consecutively, plus walk at least 2-3 miles over some uneven surfaces without difficulty. Walks typically last for at least 2-3 hours at a time. Altitude can range from zero to 5,000 feet.

This trip is moderately paced
You’ll spend 10 nights cruising aboard the Ocean Odyssey, plus Deluxe hotel stays for 2 nights in Lisbon, and 2 nights in London at the beginning and end of your trip
In addition to your arrival and departure cities, you’ll visit 10 ports of call in Portugal, Spain, France, and England
We often cruise overnight but some scenic sailing will be conducted during daylight hours

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

You should be in relatively good health to fully enjoy this tour
This journey does not entail walking for great distances but you will be on your feet for up to four hours for half-day excursions and eight hours for full-day excursions
Most city sightseeing takes place on air-conditioned coaches with guides
There are several walking tours through historic centers and villages where uneven roads or terrain should be expected
This cruise tour is not suitable for those who have difficulty walking or require wheelchairs or other mobility aids. Please refer to Vantage's wheelchair and handicapped traveler policy

All land transportation is conducted on board deluxe, air-conditioned motorcoaches

CLIMATE

Expect temperate to warm weather in many destinations on this expedition. Please note that it can get chilly at night, so bring a lightweight sweater or jacket for the evening

At sea it can occasionally be windy. A windbreaker, sweater, or light jacket is recommended
