The top deck of the boat features a sun deck, observation salon and panorama lounge, all of which provide splendid views of spectacular coastal scenery. The vessel also has a large compass area with reception, conference facilities, and shop.
Built in 1994 and refurbished in 2019. It's only natural that art, décor, and colors inspired by the Northern Lights ("Nordlys") should characterize this contemporary class ship. The woodwork, brass fittings, and textiles help make the public areas comfortable. Throughout the ship you'll find works by artists with roots from coastal Norway.
Norway’s coastal scenery hasn’t changed much since Hurtigruten's maiden trip in 1893, but their fleet certainly has. Among the newest vessels is the ms Trollfjord. The ms Trollfjord has a winter theme — including works from Norwegian artists throughout the ship — and also features a modern design and Norwegian materials. The vessel also boasts a gourmet restaurant, café, shop, lounge, Internet café, and a library. Many suites feature balconies, and all cabins contain telephones and inside cabins have TVs.
