Coral Triangle Treasures: Bali to Darwin - 2023

PACING:

• This trip is moderately easy paced
• Your 18-day journey includes 11 nights aboard the 5-star Ocean Odyssey; plus two nights in Darwin at the Hilton Darwin (or similar) and two nights in Bali at the Four Seasons Bali Resort at Jimbaran Bay (or similar). Please note that the 18 days include the day you depart from home, your overnight flight, and the day you depart for home
• In addition to your arrival and departure cities, you’ll visit 9 ports of call in two different countries
• There is one day at sea when you have ample time to relax and enjoy the amenities on board your luxury small ship
• We often cruise overnight, but some scenic sailing will be conducted during daylight hours

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
You should be in relatively good health to fully enjoy this tour.

• This journey does not entail walking for great distances, but you will be on your feet for up to four hours for half-day excursions and eight hours for full-day excursions
• Most city sightseeing takes place on air-conditioned coaches and city walking tours with guides
• There are several walking tours through historic centers and villages where uneven steps and cobblestones should be expected
• This cruise tour is not suitable for those who have difficulty walking or require wheelchairs or other mobility aids. Please refer to Vantage’s wheelchair and handicapped traveler policy

TERRAIN & TRANSPORTATION:

• Your ship is your main means of transportation between destinations
• All land transportation is conducted on board deluxe, air-conditioned motorcoaches
• During several tours, you’ll travel as locals do: Aboard horse carts, trishaws, and traditional boats
• We will utilize Zodiacs at some ports

CLIMATE:

• In all your Southeast Asian destinations, the climate is subtropical or tropical, with very little variation in temperatures. The farther south you travel, the more abundant the rainfall and high humidity. Expect average daily highs between 87° and 93° F, with evenings typically 5 to 10 degrees lower. November through January are usually the rainiest months
• The sun is strong in all our destinations, so sunscreen, sunglasses, and sun hats are musts
• Stay cool by wearing lightweight fabrics (such as cotton or linen)
• For protection from the sun, do as the locals do and cover up by wearing longer pants or skirts, and shirts with sleeves
• Bring a light rain jacket or umbrella
• At sea it can occasionally be windy. A windbreaker, sweater, or light jacket is recommended
