Bangkok, Jim Thompson Tour

Jim Thompson, a member of the U.S. Office of Strategic Services during WWII, revived the silk weaving industry in Thailand at the end of the war, and was named the “King of Thai Silk.” Thompson bought several traditional Thai houses, joined them, and decorated them with artifacts and antiques before he disappeared mysteriously in 1967. Learn the legend of Jim Thompson as you see his Thai homes, with their outstanding collection of Thai objects and art.

Bangkok, Full day Floating Market & Rose Garden Tour with Lunch

Visit Thailand’s an authentic rural floating market — and much more — on this fascinating tour. You'll visit the town of Nakorn Pathom, with its massive pagoda covered in yellow tiles. Next, we'll stop for lunch at a delightful rose garden, where you'll view gorgeous blooms and see traditional ceremonial dancing. You’ll also visit a camp where you'll see elephants trained to work in fields and forest.

Chiang Rai Mae Salong Hill Tribe Tour

Doi Mae Salong is the site of Santi Khiri Village, a community settled by Chinese soldiers who moved from Myanmar (Burma) to reside on Thai territory in 1961. Today, it's a popular destinations for its enchanting scenery, small-town ambiance, delicious native Chinese dishes, and tea, coffee, and fruit plantations. Lunch is included on this tour.

Chiang Mai Kanthoke Dinner & Cultural Show

Khantoke is a ceremonial meal that dates to the ancient Thai Lanna kingdom, a northern Thailand dynasty that flourished from 2,000 to 1,800 BCE. Today, Khantoke luncheons or dinners are held on such ceremonial occasions as weddings, housewarmings, and funerals. This tour provides an opportunity to enjoy a delicious dinner as you learn about an important part of Thai culture.

Chiang Mai Traditional Massage
Afternoon Tour, Day 13

Thai massage is said to have been developed by Jivaka Kumar Bhaccha, physician to Buddha, more than 2,500 years ago in India. It made its way to Thailand, where Ayurvedic techniques and principles gradually became influenced by traditional Chinese medicine. For centuries, Thai massage was performed by monks as a component of Thai medicine. This package will include the cloth you wear during the massage.

Cost: $20USD for 2-hours massage; $10 for clothing
