Vancouver / Set Sail

Today you’ll wake up to an included breakfast and see the sights — Stanley Park, the Gastown district, Chinatown, and more — on a panoramic city tour. Then, say “Hello!” to your sea legs as you embark the ms Ryndam and set sail for the wilds of Alaska in the early evening.

Cruising the Inside Passage

Cruising the protected waters of the Inside Passage — which stretch 1,000 miles from Skagway to British Columbia — you’ll see cascading waterfalls, virgin forests, glacier-carved fjords, and perhaps even whales and seals, all with the commentary of your onboard naturalist.

Ketchikan, Alaska

The town of Ketchikan is built on docks and pilings at water’s edge. Explore historic Creek Street, now a haven for contemporary art galleries and boutiques. On an optional shore excursion, you can see the largest collection of totems in the world at Totem Bight State Historical Park.

Haines, Alaska

Enjoy the spectacular scenery in Haines. Home to the first permanent army post in Alaska, Fort William H. Seward.

Juneau, Alaska

In this mining town turned state capital, discover the city’s extensive gold rush heritage as captured in the well-preserved 1920s and ’30s structures along S. Franklin Street, visit the grand Alaska State Capitol building and wonderful five-story totem, or venture to nearby Mendenhall Glacier, known as the “drive-in” glacier.

Sitka, Alaska

Historic Sitka, whose name is derived from a Tlingit Indian word meaning "by the sea," sits on the edge of the scenic Inside Passage. Here you’ll find an islet-dotted bay and the fresh scent of hemlock and spruce trees; nearby is Mt. Edgecomb, an extinct volcano. The Sitka National Historical Park showcases the town’s Tlingit Native American and Russian czarist-era cultural heritage.

Cruising Yakutat Bay & Hubbard Glacier

Today, you’ll marvel at Yakutat Bay, one of Alaska’s most beautiful bodies of water, located off of the Gulf of Alaska. You’ll sail past Hubbard Glacier, a frosty blue wonder of nature that measures 76 miles in length, 300 feet in height, and five miles across. Your onboard naturalist narrates and will help you spot eagles, seals, and other wildlife.

Seward, Alaska / Disembark / Anchorage, Alaska

Bid the ms Ryndam a fond farewell as you disembark for a morning at leisure in Seward. While here you can see marine life close-up at the Sea Life Center. In the afternoon, take in scenic views of the Chugach Mountains and Turnagain Arm en route to Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city.

Anchorage / Talkeetna, Alaska

Your featured morning tour of Anchorage includes a visit to Anchorage’s Alaska Native Heritage Center. Start your day with a city tour of Fairbanks including the museum at University of Alaska and a view of Trans Alaska pipeline. Then board the sternwheel riverboat Discovery for a wonderful cruise along the gentle Chena and Tanana rivers. Travel to Alaska’s treasure-trove of natural wonders — Denali National Park, a 6-million-acre wildlife sanctuary at the base of mighty Mt. McKinley. Anchorage / Return home

At last, it’s time to bid your newfound friends a fond farewell. After an included buffet breakfast, you’ll transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
