Your journey begins today with an overnight flight from your home city to London. After you arrive, you’ll transfer to Dover to embark your cruise ship, the Norwegian Jewel — one of Norwegian Cruise Line’s newer ships! — where your exciting Baltic capitals tour begins! You’ll enjoy “freestyle cruising,” which offers flexible dining options (12 restaurants and 11 lounges), a variety of on board activities, and more!

Enjoy a full day at leisure in this city, home to an enticing mix of historic architecture and lively arts. Perhaps you’ll see Hans Christian Andersen’s Little Mermaid statue in the harbor, the most photographed statue in the world, or delight in the beauty of Tivoli Gardens. Or maybe you’ll take in the city’s magnificent buildings, such as the Amalienborg Palace, winter home of the Danish royal family, or the modern and majestic Copenhagen Opera House. You’ll have the chance to meander down Strøget, where street performers gather to entertain in the afternoons.

Today, your day is at leisure in the beach resort of Warnemünde, set on the mouth of the Warnow River. You may choose to join an optional Norwegian Cruise Lines excursion to the formerly divided city of Berlin. There, you can celebrate the reunion of East and West at “Checkpoint Charlie,” the only gateway for foreigners between the two Berlins during the Cold War, and honor the 191 people who died trying to scale the Berlin Wall at the Wall Victims Memorial. Berlin also boasts a vibrant arts scene, where you can pick from hundreds of art galleries and more than 150 museums. You may want to visit the several markets, including the American-style indoor mall, Potsdamer Platz Arkaden.

Your next stop is Tallinn, one of the most well-preserved medieval cities in the world. You’ll step back into the Middle Ages in this capital’s Old Town, where medieval walls and cobbled streets preserve the aura of the 14th century. Weave your way among powerful stone towers and needle-like spires as you explore this historic city. Perhaps, you’ll visit the oldest surviving Gothic town hall in Northern Europe, or you may want to immerse yourself in the ancient history of Tallinn at the Linnamuuseum, a museum chronicling the city’s extensive past. Tallinn also offers some more modern delights, including open-air markets and street performers. This stop is sure to be a learning experience like no other.

During your two full days in Peter the Great’s “Window to the West,” you’ll have free time to experience this monumental city, the former center of Russia’s government. Take in the beautiful European architecture. Perhaps you’ll visit famous Russian landmarks, such as St. Isaac’s Cathedral, boasting a golden dome and massive pillars. See one of the city’s 150 palaces — among these imperial sites is the Summer Palace, the first palace in St. Petersburg, which is surrounded by the peaceful Summer Garden.

Today, take in Finland’s capital city, the economic capital of Scandinavia and home to many worldwide business headquarters. This city is alive with lush green parks and multiple waterways. Be sure to stop by Senate and Market Squares, the Sibelius Memorial, honoring
Finish composer Jean Sibelius, Temppeliaukio Church, built into a mass of solid rock, and the Finlandia Hall performing arts center. Helsinki is also home to a collection  of museums showcasing exhibits on Finland’s past, as well as many historical monuments.

You’ll encounter everything in this “Venice of the North,” an intriguing city that is situated on 14 islands and on the banks to the archipelago where Lake Mälaren meets the Baltic Sea. The city center is virtually situated on the water! Perhaps, see sites from the medieval Gamla Stan (the Old Town) to lavish Baroque-inspired suburbs to ultra-modern Scandinavian designs. While in this regal city, you may want to experience Dottingholm, the world’s largest palace still in use, or one of the other 10 royal residences in Stockholm. Or, you can stop by Centralstationen, the city’s shopping center, and the gardens at Kungstradgarden.

At Sea

Upon arriving at Dover, you’ll disembark the Norwegian Jewel and transfer to London, one of the world’s greatest cultural capitals, for your two included nights. You’ll enjoy an included London panoramic city tour on Day 14, followed by free time to explore on your own. During your visit, you can stop by Piccadilly or browse the treasures at the British Museum. You can also peruse the specialty shops at Covent Garden or experience the hustle and bustle of the shopping mecca, Oxford Street. Or stop by one of the numerous theaters and pubs throughout the city.
