1. How do I become a Group Leader?

Just get a group of 10 or more together, then call us at 1 800 994-6321. There's nothing complicated, no registration or other paperwork. All you need is genuine enthusiasm and a desire to organize friends, family, or other groups for an enjoyable vacation.

2. Will you help me organize the trip?

Of course! In fact, we'll do most of the "heavy lifting" for you! We'll help you select a trip and send you promotional materials. Then, once the trip is planned, we'll handle the reservations and payments directly with each traveller.

3. Do I need to travel with my group?

No. You can make the arrangements for your group. Rest assured that your group will be well cared for by our Program Managers that accompany each tour.

4. How do the reservations work?

You will receive a special group code. When your travellers book their trip, they can call our toll free number, 1 800 994-6321 and give their code. This ensures that you receive credit for each traveller, without having to handle credit cards or checks.

5. As Group Leader, will I have a lot of work to do?

Not at all. Vantage will handle all the details, from reservations to airline tickets to transfers. We'll even keep in touch with your group members through a series of pre-departure mailings to fill them in on all details of their trip and making sure they are well prepared.

6. What is a "full-paying passenger"?

Any passenger paying the Vantage double occupancy or single occupancy rate is a full-paying passenger.

• Note that passengers who cancel or do not complete their trip do not count towards free trips or other group travel.

7. Will there be people other than my own group on the tour?

It depends on how many people you sign up. But the likelihood is that other travellers will accompany you.

8. When will I receive my reward?

If you decide to travel with your group, your free trip will appear as a credit to your account approximately 30 days prior to departure.

If you opt for a group discount or a cash commission, a check will be mailed to you 6-8 weeks from the return date of the trip. One check will be mailed to the group leader. The discount amount will not be deducted from each traveller's invoice.

9. If I earn a free trip, are there any charges?

Just a few nominal fees, such as optional Travel Protection Program, and shore excursions on ocean cruises, pre- or post-trip extensions, and the like. Certain taxes and fees may also be applicable. If you choose to travel in a single room on your free trip, you will be charged the Single Supplement, or the difference between the double-occupancy and single-occupancy rates.

10. Can I earn more than one FREE trip if I get more than 10 travellers?

Yes! You'll continue to earn free travel based on the number of travellers you organize for the trip. Recruit 10 or more travellers for an Escorted Land Tour or River Cruise, and you'll receive one free trip, 20 or more and you'll get two free trips. If you gather 14 or more for an Ocean Cruise, you'll get one free trip, 28 or more means two free trips, and so on. Please remember that space is sometimes limited by the type of trip you select.

11. What if the number in my group falls below the minimum needed to receive free travel?

You may be eligible to save on future Vantage Travel through the Group Travel Program. You would receive travel "credits" simply by encouraging others to travel with Vantage. Please note that in order to receive credit for referred travellers, they must be first-time travellers with Vantage and must not already be on the Vantage mailing list. 12. What is the best way to promote my trip?

The quickest way to get your group members interested in and excited about your trip is to refer them to the trip on this website. Alternately, you can write a letter to your group members and send each a Vantage brochure (supplied by us) with details about your trip. If you have a larger group of prospective travellers, we may be able to offer special promotional mailings on your behalf. 13. Will my group fly together?

We will make every effort to schedule your group on the same flights from your home city. However, air routings are ultimately at the discretion of the airlines.. While Vantage defines 10 or more affiliated travellers as a group, the airlines' are more specific, defining a group as 10 or more people flying to / from the same airport who depart and return on the same date. If some members of your group take a pre- or post-trip extension, the airlines may or may not accommodate the group with the same flights. Cancellations or changes to your group size may also affect your group's ability to fly together.
