Vantage’s Croatia office is in the charming seaside city of Opatija on the Gulf of Kvarner. Regional General Manager Jadranko Radic oversees trip planning and delivery, and he’s been deeply involved in all aspects of the travel industry for more than 30 years. Why should Vantage travelers come to his country? “In all my years of traveling,” Jadranko says, “Croatia is still my favorite place. Some people describe my country as a form of ‘natural stress relief.’ It really is like living in a part of the Mediterranean that time has forgotten.”
Jadranko’s commitment to providing travelers an unforgettable journey is a family affair. His two sons also help visitors experience the soul of their country; Tomislav keeps things moving behind the scenes in the office, while Matija is one of Vantage’s expert Program Managers.
Travelers “Don’t Want to Leave”
There’s little Jadranko loves more than seeing the faces of Vantage travelers light up during their journeys. And to make sure he’ll see those smiles, he arranges visits to Jurlinovi Dvori, a spot typical travelers could never find on their own. Amidst stone huts and an inviting courtyard, travelers visit with locals in traditional Croatian garb. Then they’re invited for a “cook’s tour” of their hosts’ homes, complete with a meal and home-prepared wine. “After a few glasses and a few songs,” Jadranko says, “people sit under the hundred-years-old olive tree and don’t want to leave.”
